Fulgurite is the name given to a natural glass that forms around the beaches and deserts of the world. This material will form anywhere around the world during lightening storms with certain areas more likely to produce specimens depending on environment, typical climate, etc. The Fulgurite is formed when lightening touches the sand and tries to find a way down and through. Any material along the path of the strike will be instantly vaporised with the surrounding material melting. Fulgurites are typically quite small, 2-3 inches in length, but specimens over a foot long can be found. Fulgurites can often attach themselves to large pebbles and stones, making for an interesting specimen. Unlike other minerals or natural glasses (Tektites etc) the process is instant and is often from events in the past few years. Those within the Sahara Desert region will often make an excursion through the desert after a lightening storm to uncover these stones before erosion can set in and possibly destroy larger specimens.
The energy of the storm remains intertwined within the Fulgurite, releasing itself when you work and connect to the energy of the stone. It will feel like you’re walking into the eye of the hurricane. A powerful wind of energy will blow through your ethereal spirit, blasting away any notions of self-doubt within ones mind of confidence, courage, and strength. As you clear the storm and enter the eye, the winds will calm, you’ll return to your feet, and have the sensation of pure bliss. Set up a grid within the home using a piece of Fulgurite as the centre stone so that you can return home each day and allow your mind and soul to be cleansed of any negative emotions or thoughts from the day and allow yourself to return to that zone of pure bliss.
